Goutham Nanda review
Goutham Gattamaneni (Gopichand) is the son of Vishnu Prasad Gattamaneni (Sachin Khedekar) who is the Forbes top 50th richest person in the world. Goutham is habituated to the luxury rich life and keeps hanging out with friends without any goal or aim. One day he realizes his mistake and accidentally meets Nanda Kishore (Gopichand) who exactly looks like him. Nanda is from a poor family who lives in the slum of Borabanda. At a point, getting vexed with their lives they want to exchange their roles for 30 days. How their lives changed after the interchange or roles and what are the unexpected things happened? forms the rest of the story.
Goutham Nanda is a regular commercial point made with rich commercial values and stylish taking. Sampath Nandi is very much successful in making the movie look very rich but that is not so worth for a routine story like this. Instead of making it over lavish, he could have made it budget friendly for the producer.
On the other side, we can witness the old vintage gopichand with negative shade. Dialogues are touching and thought provoking. Family emotions are showcased well. The main complaint about the film is it’s very lengthy, especially in the second half. The editor would have made it crispy. At the same time adding some more comedy quotient to the movie can help it to be a perfect blend of all commercial assets.
This is for sure a comeback film to Gopi Chand. Hansika acted well in a slightly deglamorized role. Catherine Tresa is too hot. Rest of the characters like Chandra Mohan, Sachin Khedekar, Mukesh Rushi and Bithiri Satthi did justice to their roles. Music, especially the BGM is an asset to the film. The impact that made will haunt you even after the film.
On a Whole, Goutham Nanda is a one time watch for the brillant performance of Gopichand and some meaningful dialogues.
