Pelli Choopulu Movie Review:
In the current times, it is really sad to see that no film is thoroughly enjoyable. But Pelli Choopulu is an exception. We will laugh, cry and react for every emotion in the film and that makes Pelli Choopulu different from all the other films. Small budget films are a safe bet these days. Not everyone is gutsy enough to make them. After watching films like Pelli Choopulu, you will start convincing yourself that Telugu Cinema will definitely change and film makers like Tharun Bhascker are there right in front of us to make us proud. There are many scenes in the film which came out well and every single scene conveys something. We don’t find unnecessary scenes, forced comedy, irritating fights, speed-breaking songs in Pelli Choopulu. What we can find in the film is the relationship we maintain with our mother, father, friends, girl friend and the neighbours. Very pure and fresh indeed!
To be honest, the story of the film is routine. But sometimes a routine story alone can make us moved because of the routine situations we experience in our daily lives. The same was reflected on screen in this film. The film is all about Prashanth (Vijay Devarakonda) and Chitra (Ritu Varma). Prashanth is a guy who hates responsibilities. He lives in his own world and loves to cook! In the process, he attempts some Youtube Cooking Shows to mint money but fails drastically. Left with no option, he accepts to get married for the 1 crore dowry offered by a big and frank businessman. Chitra is a simple girl who wanted to live on her own. She had plans to fly Australia for higher studies and also plans to establish her own Food Truck Business with boy friend (Nandoo) but he ditches her suddenly. Left with no option, Chitra had to follow her father’s words and gets ready for Pelli Choopulu. In one strange situation, both Prashanth and Chitra meets each other. How did they help themselves for shaping their lives better forms the rest of the story.
There are some strong characterisations in the story. We don’t regularly see every actor getting recognised for their roles. It all depends on the uniqueness in the characterisation along with the realistic elements with which the character was designed. Unless we find a connectivity to the roles on screen, we can not travel with them. In this film, we easily get connected to all the characters. The glamour of the film lies in the natural conversations that takes place between the actors. Be it a conversation between father-son, husband-wife, friends or boy-girl, everything appears to be so simple and honest. The director did not try to cheat the audiences rather tried to be as honest as possible with his narration and execution. This resulted in the pace going down in the second half for a few scenes.
The performances in the film are so natural. Vijay Devarakonda rocked in the character called Prashanth. Even Ritu surprises everyone by revealing the actress in her. All the actors developed a internal healthy competition between themselves to bring out the best output. Every actor made his presence felt by acting well in their limitations. The major highlight of the film is the new actors Priyadarshi and Abhay. After a long time, the audiences will keep on laughing out like hell from the beginning to the end because of these two actors. They just brought back the healthy humour to Telugu films. Their comedy and performances in the film is a big relief for us from all the regular, routine and boring films we are watching in the recent times.
The film is strong in all the aspects. The writing is solid. Tharun Bhacker’s narration is engaging. Instead of cooking up scenes that miss out logic, he tried to stay honest by going with the flow of story. The screenplay is good. The dialogues are very natural and they deserve a special mention. The music scored by Vivek Sagar is pretty good and so is the background score. The background score is in sync with the mood of the film. The cinematography by Nagesh is excellent. The film was made in sync sound. The film is going to set a trend for the same in the coming days. The amazing effort shown by the team to make the sync sound work well for the film deserve appreciations. The production values are grand! Raj kandukuri and Yash Rangineni must be appreciated for encouraging these new talents and accepting to produce a film which is different from what the film industry is running after. The good taste of these two producers is very evident. All we hope is that the both of them make more good films in the future.
Pelli Choopulu is a simple, honest and great film that is not seen in the recent times. Easily, Pelli Choopulu is one of the very few best films we have watched so far this year. Pelli choopulu comes with a pack of surprises in the form of performances, casting, music, cinematography and what not everything! The director Tharun Bhascker enters into the successful league of directors with this amazing debut. Tharun and his Pelli Choopulu team proved again the fact that Content is the only star of the film and it brings the genuine stardom to all those who are involved with the project. We can stop raving about the new-age Malayalam films if talented people like Tharun Bhascker were given more chances like this. Finally, Pelli Choopulu is a realistic film which is very well connected to our lives. Amazing Performances, Natural Conversations, Brilliant technical values and impressive production values altogether made it a perfect film. A not to be missed film which has the potential to be a game changer in Tollywood. Pelli Choopulu small budgeted film which is going to make immense profits. Don’t miss it.

F2 : Fun and Frustration Telugu Movie Review
F2 : Fun and Frustration Movie Review
Senior Hero Victory Venkatesh and Mega Prince Varun Tej teamed up for a multi starrer movie ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’. Touted to be a full-length comedy entertainer, hattrick director Anil Ravipudi helmed this project. Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada played the female leads in the movie bankrolled by Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The teaser and trailer of the movie have already hinted that the movie is going to be a hilarious ride for the audience and the expectations have been high on this movie. After all the big releases for Sankranthi, the movie is slated to hit the screens today on January 12th, 2019. Let’s check out the review of the movie.
Venky (Venkatesh) who works as a PA to an MLA gets married with Harika (Tamannah). His life becomes frustrating after few months because of over expectations and possessiveness. Varun Yadav (Varun Tej) and Honey (Mehreen), who is the sister of Harika loves each other. Venky tries his best to preach Varun about the after consequences of marriage but Varun keeps a deaf ear on him. Finally he gets engaged with Honey and very soon realises the problems. What did Venky and Varun did to get rid of their woman ? Who won in this ego war of couples ? is the rest of the story.
Victory Venkatesh is undoubtedly the show stealer for this film. His lively performance added more beauty to the film. He has portrayed his character with more energy and will tickle the laugh bones. Varun Tej tried a character like this for the first time. He has delivered a decent job. Varun Tej will grab the attention with his slang. The female leads Tamannaah and Mehreen not only added up the glamour quotient to the film but also showcased their acting prowess as well. Prakash Raj delivered a decent performance. Rajendra Prasad is classy and shows why he is such a highly respected actor. Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi excel in funny episodes. Jhansi and Brahmaji are alright. Raghubabu is decent.
More than the story of the film, director Anil Ravipudi always focuses on the entertainment and he repeated his same formula in this movie as well. Though some of the comedy scenes will definitely make the audience laugh, most of the comedy scenes try to bring out comedy forcibly. Production values by Sri Venkateswara Creations banner are lavish. The producers have invested a huge amount. The music by Devi Sri Prasad is good. Though there are no haunting songs in the film, BGM is just average. Cinematography by Sameer Reddy is beautiful. He has produced some bright and colorful visuals. Editing by Bikkina Thammiraju are clean and neat. Overall, the technical team did a good job.
Verdict : F2 is a complete Fun ride from the director Anil Ravipudi. You can witness vintage Venkatesh and his comedy timing. This is a sure shot hit and winner of this Pongal season.
